THE MOON BUTTERFLIES EDITION (Blue and Gold Leaf)

Moon Butterflies was created for my 2019 Solo exhibition with Grandy Art in London. Similar to the Covey of Grouse, the preparation stage for this piece was particularly time consuming, with the layout of each of the individual butterflies being very important. In preparation for this piece I though that it would be a great opportunity to research the subject matter in great depth, which took me to an lepidopterist in Hertfordshire as well as a day studying the different breeds of butterflies at the Hermitage Museum in South East London.
